Cutting for an insert element of a packaging container Description

The invention relates to a blank for an insert element of a packaging container, which has an outer contour delimited by longitudinal edges and transverse edges, as well as to such an insert element and such a packaging container.

It is the object of the invention to further develop a blank for an insert element of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that an optimal presentation of the object to be packaged is provided with simple and cost-effective production.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that the blank has a basic element delimited by two longitudinal edges and two transverse edges,

that each of the two transverse edges is adjoined by a side element which can be folded relative to the base element around the transverse edge acting as a folding element, that each side element has a first partial area and a second partial area which can be folded relative to the first partial area around a folding element, wherein each of the second partial areas has a recess into which a product to be presented can be inserted when the insert element is in the upright state, and has an incision on one of its long sides into which a corresponding incision in the other side element can be inserted.

The measures according to the invention advantageously form a blank from which the insert element according to the invention can be erected particularly easily. The insert element produced in this way is characterized by the fact that it is particularly easy to assemble and has a high level of stability. The inventive design of the blank and the insert element that can be erected from it also advantageously ensures that the product accommodated in it is held in a resilient manner and is thus packaged shockproof on all sides.

A further advantageous development of the invention provides that the insert element that can be produced from the blank according to the invention can be inserted into a slipcase, whereby this slipcase is preferably transparent at least in the area above the product accommodated in the insert element. In this way, it is advantageously achieved that the object accommodated in the packaging formed in this way is dust-proof and protected, while it can still be presented in a visually appealing manner.

A further advantageous development of the invention provides that two further side elements are arranged on the two longitudinal edges of the base element of the packaging element, which are movable relative to the base element by further folding elements. This measure according to the invention

the stability of the packaging element of the packaging container that can be produced from the blank according to the invention is further increased.

Figure 1 shows an embodiment of a blank, generally designated 1, from which an insert element 2 of a packaging container 4 (see Figure 6) that can be inserted into a slipcase 3 can be produced. The blank 1 has a base element 10 with a preferably essentially rectangular shape, to the two sides 10a and 10b of which a side element 11a and 11b is connected. The side element 11a or 11b is movable relative to the base element 10 by a fold 12a or 12b in such a way that the two side elements 11a, 11b can be moved out of the base area of the blank 1. Each of the two side elements 11 a and 11 b of the blank 1 is divided into two sub-areas 14a, 14b and 14a', 14b', wherein the first area 14a adjacent to the base element 10 is separated from the second area 14b of the left side element 11 a in Fig. 1 by a further fold 15, which allows the sub-area 14b to be folded as shown in Figures 2 to 4 and described below. In a corresponding manner, the right side element 11 b' in Fig. 1 is equipped with a further fold 15 ¹ , which separates the sub-areas 14a ¹ and 14b ¹ .

The second partial area 14b, 14b ¹ each has a punched-out portion 16a, 16b which functions as a movable tab and which - as will be explained below - is adapted to the product to be accommodated in the packaging element 1. The left-hand side element 11a in Figure 1 has an incision 17a on its front longitudinal edge 11a' in Figure 1, which preferably runs essentially orthogonally to the latter. In a corresponding manner, the rear longitudinal edge 11b' in Figure 1 of the right-hand side element 11b in Figure 1 has a corresponding incision 17b.

In order to erect the packaging element 2 for the packaging container 4 from the described blank 1, first one of the two side elements 11a, 11b - in the case shown here the first side element 11a - is folded around the fold 12a until the first partial area 14a of the side element 11a

runs essentially orthogonal to the base element 10. Then the second portion 14b of the first side element 11a is moved around the further fold 15,
until the end of the second portion 14b of the first side element 11a opposite the further fold 15 becomes the base element 10 of the
cutting area 1.

in a corresponding manner, the first partial area 14a' of the second side element 11b is then folded around the fold 12b until its first partial area 14a' runs essentially orthogonal to the base element 10 of the blank 1. After - as can best be seen from Fig. 3 - the second partial area 14b of the first side element 11a and the second partial area ^14b1 of the second side element 11b have been slightly rotated about an axis running horizontally to the base element 10 of the blank 1, it is possible to bring the two incisions 17a and 17b into engagement with one another so that the structure shown in Fig. 4 is formed. A product 20 to be presented can now be inserted into the insert element 2 of the packaging container 3 formed in this way. The recesses 16a, 16b of the second partial regions 14b, 14b' of the two side elements 11a, 11b are designed such that they securely receive the product 20.

At this point it must be stated that in order to achieve the greatest possible stability it is advantageous if the length of the side elements 11a, 11b is selected such that in the state shown in Fig. 4 their outer ends are supported on the base element 10.

It is also advantageous if the base element is equipped with two additional side elements 18a, 18b, which are connected to the sides 10c, 10d of the base element 10, which function as additional folds 19a, 19b. As can best be seen from Fig. 5, these additional side elements 18a, 18b are then folded up around the additional folds 19a, 19b.

and thereby increase the lateral stability of the insert element 2 erected from the blank 1.

The insert element 2 designed in this way can then be easily inserted into the slipcase 3 of the packaging container 4 together with the product 20 received in its recesses 16a, 16b.

The coordination of the individual dimensions of the elements of the blank 1 with the slipcase 3 is easily apparent to the person skilled in the art from the figures, which are explicitly referred to for this purpose, so that a further description is not necessary at this point.

Claims (10)

Blank for an insert element (2) of a packaging container (4) which has an outer contour delimited by longitudinal edges and transverse edges, characterized in that the blank (1) has a base element (10) delimited by two longitudinal edges (10c, 10d) and two transverse edges (10a, 10b), that a side element (11a, 11b) adjoins each of the two transverse edges (10a, 10b) which can be folded relative to the base elements (10) around the transverse edge (10a, 10b) acting as a folding element (12a, 12b), that each side element (11a; 11b) has a first partial area (14a, 14a ¹ ) and a second partial area which can be folded relative to the first partial area (14a, 14a ') around a further folding element (15, 15'). (14b; 14b'), wherein each of the second partial areas (14b; 14b') has a recess (16a; 16b) into which a product (20) to be presented can be inserted in the erected state of the insert element (2), and has on one of its long sides (16a, 16b') an incision (17a; 17b) into which (17a) a corresponding incision (17b) of the other side element (11b) can be inserted, 2. Blank according to claim 1, characterized in that the blank (1) has at least one further side element (18a, 18b) adjoining one of the longitudinal edges (10c, 10d) of the base element (10), which is movable by a further fold (19a, 19b) relative to the base element (10) of the blank (1). 3. Blank according to one of claims 1 or 2, characterized in that the length of at least one of the two side elements (11a, 11b) of the blank (1) is dimensioned such that in the erected state of the insert element (2) of the packaging container (4), the -8th- element (10) opposite end of the side element (11a, 11b) is supported on the base element (10). 4. Blank according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the incisions (17a, 17b) of the side elements (11a, 11b) are designed in such a way that the first side element (11a) can be brought into engagement with the second side element (11b) by rotating the two side elements (11a, 11b) about an axis that is essentially horizontal to the base surface of the base element (10). 5. Blank according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the incision (17a, 17b) runs essentially orthogonally to the corresponding longitudinal edge (16a, 16b') of the side element (11a, 11b). 6. Blank according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the recesses (16a, 16b) of the second partial regions (14b, 14b ¹ ) of the side elements (11a, 11b) are formed from punched-out portions (16a, 16b). 7. Insert element for a packaging container, characterized by a blank (1) according to one of claims 1 to 6. 8. Packaging container, characterized by an insert element (2) according to claim 7. 9. Packaging container according to claim 8, characterized by a slipper (3) into which the insert element (2) can be inserted. -9- 10. Packaging container according to claim 9, characterized in that the slipcase (3) is transparent at least in its area lying over the product (20) received in the insert element (2).
