Drive device for a rotating presentation element.

The invention relates to a drive device for a rotatable presentation element, in particular for several rotatable presentation elements arranged next to one another and one above the other in the manner of a presentation wall, comprising a drive motor which can be coupled to the presentation element by a power transmission means.

Several presentation elements arranged one above the other and next to one another in a housing like a presentation wall are known. In particular, when the presentation elements are prisms, they are generally referred to as so-called prism turners. The prisms are arranged on their three sides

provided with advertising media, for example in the form of foil. The individual prisms can display a uniform large image on their side walls, or each prism surface can form a complete image for an advertisement. For example, in the case of prism inverters set up in football stadiums, the corresponding side surfaces of the prisms form a homogeneous advertising image. Since a prism, as described, has three side surfaces, it is possible to create three different advertising surfaces. To display the different advertising surfaces, the prisms of the prism inverter must be rotated by 120°.

However, not only prisms are conceivable as presentation elements, but also presentation elements for holding objects, for example bottles, cans and the like, whereby a wall built up of such presentation elements no longer serves only for advertising, but also for the presentation of goods. Since the motor for rotating the presentation elements starts relatively jerkily, there is a risk that an object held by the presentation element, for example a bottle, will fall over.

In order to ensure that the presentation elements start up smoothly, the invention proposes that the force transmission means has an elastic coupling element. This elastic coupling element enables the rotational movement of the presentation elements to start smoothly.

In particular, it is provided that the drive means comprises a drive shaft, whereby the drive shaft can be connected to the drive motor by the elastic coupling element. This means that, in particular when arranging several presentation elements next to one another and one above the other, only one elastic coupling element is required in order to enable a smooth start of the rotary movement of the individual presentation elements.

A particularly inexpensive embodiment of an elastic coupling element is characterized by the use of a piece of hose, which is arranged between the motor and the drive shaft.

It is further provided that the power transmission means has a bevel gear for power deflection; such a power deflection is necessary when the drive shaft runs horizontally, but the individual presentation elements are arranged one below the other and next to each other.

Presentation elements can be designed in a wide variety of ways; for example, as a prism for holding advertising media, for example foils, on the side surfaces of the prism, or as a prism that is open on one side surface for holding objects, for example bottles or cans, or as a turntable exclusively for holding objects.

A complete arrangement of several presentation elements arranged next to each other and one below the other is characterized by a drive shaft running horizontally in a housing, whereby the drive shaft has several bevel gears with output shafts to the presentation elements arranged one below the other, whereby the drive shaft itself is connected to the motor by the elastic coupling element.

The presentation wall, designated as a whole by 1, has the housing 2 in which the individual presentation elements 3 are arranged. Power transmission means, designated as a whole by 15, are provided for rotating the individual presentation elements 3 arranged one above the other and next to one another and connected to one another by the output shaft 4. The power transmission means 15 comprise two drive shafts 4, each with a bevel gear 5, the bevel gear 5 being connected to the drive shaft 6, which is driven by the drive motor 7.

The elastic coupling element 8, which is designed as a hose piece, is located between the bevel gears 5 and the drive motor 7. The output shaft 4 is rotatably mounted in a pillow block bearing 9 at the bottom of the housing.

Figures 3 to 5 show the different embodiments of a presentation element. Figure 3 shows a prism 10 which has curved strips 10a on its long edges for inserting advertising media 10b, for example pictures. Figure 4 shows a prism 11, with one side surface 11a omitted, with the base 11c in the area of this omitted side surface being designed to protrude forwards in the form of a segment of a circle for holding objects, for example bottles or cans. The other long edges are correspondingly provided with curved strips 11a for holding advertising media 11b.

The presentation element according to Figure 5 is presented as a rotating plate 12 also for holding bottles or cans.

What all three embodiments of a presentation element have in common is that they have an opening 4a in the middle area for the passage of the drive shaft 4.

Drive device for a rotatable presentation element, in particular of several rotatable presentation elements arranged next to one another and one below the other in the manner of a presentation wall, comprising a drive motor which can be coupled to the presentation element by a power transmission means, characterized in that the power transmission means (15) has an elastic coupling element (8). 2. Drive device according to claim 1, characterized in that the power transmission means (15) comprises a drive shaft (6), wherein the drive shaft (6) can be connected to the drive motor (7) by the elastic coupling member (8). 3. Drive device according to claim 1, characterized in that the force transmission means (15) has a bevel gear (5) for force deflection. 4. Drive device according to claim 1, characterized in that the elastic coupling element (8) is designed as a piece of hose. 5. Drive device according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the presentation element (3) is designed as a prism (10) for accommodating advertising media, for example foils or pictures, on the side surfaces. -6- 6. Drive device according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the presentation element (3), the prism (11), is designed with an open side surface with a base (lic) projecting in the form of a segment of a circle for receiving objects. 7. Drive device according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the presentation element (3) is designed as a turntable (12). 8. Drive device according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the individual rotatable presentation elements (3) can be coupled to one another. 9. Drive device according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the drive shaft (6) is arranged horizontally in a housing (2), the drive shaft (6) having several bevel gears (5) with output shafts (4) to the presentation elements (3) arranged one below the other.
