The present innovation refers to "a computer work table (screen workstation) as used in modern offices - to provide a computer workstation and other office machines and communication devices for convenient use.

When a number of devices and machines, such as a computer keyboard, monitor, mouse, printer, telephone, etc., are placed or set up on the usual work tables, a large part of the table surface is taken up and there is little room for other work documents. In addition, many of these items require electrical or other cable connections and the cables lie more or less untidily on the table and run from the table surface to their connections. Working at such a table is often hindered and inefficient.

The aim of this innovation is to create a computer work table that has the necessary machines and equipment in an orderly arrangement and without a "cable tangle" and yet still leaves a large work surface for the user. The appearance of the fully equipped work table should be tidy and pleasing.

The necessary cable connections run in a cable duct and are easily accessible at all times. The present computer desk essentially consists of a worktop 30 which is supported by a base frame which consists of two side walls 20 and a rear wall 10. Grooves 21 are made in the rear edges of the side walls 20 and grooves 11 are made in the lateral edges of the rear wall 10, by means of which these edges are joined together. Holes are made in the edges of the rear wall 10 through which screws penetrate which are screwed into the rear edge surfaces of the side walls 20 and hold these parts together. The worktop*; 30^ is

Several additional separating plates 51 are arranged in the cable duct in order to keep the cables to be laid properly separated from each other and to guide them.

In at least one of the side walls 20, a vertical cable groove 22 is formed, the upper end of which extends into the area of the cable duct, so that cables can be guided up in the cable groove 22 and laid further into the cable duct.

Insertion slots 14 are cut out in the upper side corners of the rear wall 10, in which corner blocks 60 are fastened, which represent the rear corner boundaries of the table surface. Each corner block 60 has an inwardly projecting bearing pin 61 and between these a cable duct cover 70 is pivotally mounted. The pivot axis runs through the front edge of the cover and the rear free edge rests on the upper edge of the rear wall 10, in which two recesses 13 are cut out. The cables run through these from the cable duct to the machines and devices standing on the table.

Each corner block 60 has an insertion opening 62. In one of these, a multi-section swivel arm 90 with a platform at the end for a screen monitor is inserted; in the other, a telephone arm 80 is inserted.

In the front area of the worktop 30, a keyboard recess 31 is cut out on one side, in which the computer keyboard can be placed. A transparent, swiveling cover 35 of the keyboard recess 31 protects the keyboard from dust when not in use; it can also be locked using a lock 351, thus preventing unauthorized use of the computer. When the cover 35.10 is swiveled up, it serves as a support for documents, for which its rear edge bends downwards at approximately a right angle, and when the cover is swiveled up, it assumes an approximately horizontal position and supports the papers that are placed there.

A recess 33, which takes up the largest area of the surface of the worktop 30, is provided for the insertion of a support plate 34, whereby the latter can have a decorative and/or protective effect.

On the other side of the worktop 30, a drawer 32 is provided on its underside. Below the worktop and at a distance from it, a storage shelf is mounted so that it can be swiveled up between the side walls 20. In the swiveled-down horizontal position, its front corners rest on support projections 25 on the side walls. In the position swung up and towards the rear wall 10, it is held by a magnet 241 attached to its front edge, which interacts with a ferromagnetic anchor piece (not provided with a reference number) on the rear wall 10.

If the equipment of the workstation is changed, the cables can be easily removed by simply swinging up the cable duct cover.

Claims (4)

18 September 1995 PROTECTION CLAIMS 1. Computer desk with a worktop (30), two side walls (20) supporting it and a back wall (10) with the following features: " -- The rear wall (10) "has grooves (11) on both edges for interaction with corresponding grooves (21) on the rear edges of the side walls (20), - the rear wall (10) is screwed to the rear edges of the side walls (20) using screws which pass through holes in the edges of the rear wall, and the worktop (30) is screwed to the side walls (20), - two recesses (13) are made in the upper edge of the rear wall (10) and a step (12) is formed on the inside of the rear wall (10) near the upper edge of the same, - near the rear edge of at least one of the side walls (20), a vertical cable groove (22) runs in its inner surface and a narrow vertical groove (23) is recessed next to this, offset to the front, - a longitudinal dividing board (40) is inserted with its two ends into the vertical grooves (23) of the side walls (20) and a transverse dividing board (50) is inserted with its one edge into an insertion groove (41) cut out near the lower edge of the longitudinal dividing board (40) and rests with its other edge on the step (12) of the rear wall (10), whereby the dividing boards (40, 50) and the upper area of the rear wall (10) form a cable duct for the cables 0 of office machines, - beneath the worktop (30) a storage shelf (24) is pivotably mounted between the side walls (20), which can be pivoted between a vertical position, resting against the rear wall (10), and a horizontal position, in which its free corners are on support projections (25) on the inner surfaces of the side walls (20), . · - in the upper corners of the rear wall (10) there are two insertion slots (14") into which corner blocks (60) are inserted and mounted on the corners of the rear wall (10). , ._■-'-"" . _ - - each corner block (60) has an inwardly facing bearing pin (61) for pivotally supporting a cable duct cover (70) which extends along the rear edge of the worktop (30 ■) between the corner blocks (60) and above the cross-dividing board (50), - each corner block (60) has an insertion opening (62); in one a telephone arm (80) is inserted and in the other a monitor swivel arm (90) is inserted, - on the front edge of the worktop (30) there is a keyboard recess (31) for the computer keyboard, which can be covered by a swiveling cover (35) which, when swiveled up, serves as a stand for documents, - on the other side of the worktop (30) there is a drawer (32) underneath it. 2. Computer work table according to claim 1, characterized in that on the cross dividing board (50) there are arranged dividing plates (51) for laying the cables of office machines. 3. Computer work table according to claim 1 and/or 2, characterized in that the cover (35) of the computer keyboard is transparent and can be locked by means of a lock (351). 4. Computer work table according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized by a magnet (241) on the free edge of the shelf (24), which -' 3 holds it in the raised position,
