Die erfindungsgemäße Gestaltung des Matratzenrohlings gibt die Möglichkeit, aus einem entsprechend dicken bzw. großen Schaumstoff- bzw. Latexblock gleichzeitig mehrere Matratzenrohlinge auszustanzen bzw. auszuschneiden, wobei die Stege auf der einen Seite des Matratzenrohlings durch den Nutenausschnitt in der Oberfläche des jeweils benachbarten Matratzenrohlings gebildet werden. Das Schnittmuster sieht also kammartig mit ihren Stegen ineinandergreifende Matratzenrohlinge vor, von denen mehrere mit jeweils einem einzigen Schnittvorgang aus einem Block herausgeschnitten werden können.
