Description
The invention relates to a bolt guide according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
A bolt guide of this type is known from DE-OS 25 48 927. In this bolt guide, the sleeve extends beyond the bore of the floating caliper on both sides and is fixed to the bolt. A sleeve is formed on each of the two axial ends of the elastic bushing and is attached to the outside of the sleeve. The two sleeves hermetically seal the sliding surfaces between the sleeve and the elastic bushing; however, they are susceptible to damage due to their constant alternating bending stress and can age prematurely and then become brittle, particularly if exposed to high temperatures for a long time.
The invention is based on the object of creating a simple, durable and functionally reliable sealing of the sliding surfaces in a bolt guide of the type specified in the preamble of patent claim 1.
This object is solved by the invention characterized in patent claim 1.
Advantageous embodiments of the invention are specified in the subclaims.
From DE-OS 24 14 174 a bolt guide for a floating caliper partial pad disc brake is already known, in which a sleeve which can slide relative to the bolt is accommodated in an annular recess of an elastic bush.
In the bolt guide designed according to the invention, the axially spaced annular ribs, which form the recesses between them, ensure that the bolt is sealed and kept clean. In particular, dirt that has penetrated between the bolt and the sleeve is absorbed by the recesses so that this dirt does not reach the sliding surfaces in the area of the floating caliper's bore. This sealing of the sliding surfaces is achieved without the material of the elastic sleeve being deformed by the axial displacements of the floating caliper that occur during operation. The risk of damage or brittleness of the sleeves is thus avoided. The solution according to the invention is therefore characterized by a long service life and high functional reliability.
Es zeigenAn embodiment of the invention is explained with reference to the drawings. They show

Fig. 4 eine Explosionsdarstellung der Bolzenführung nach Fig. 3. Fig. 4 is an exploded view of the bolt guide according to Fig. 3.
The spot-pad disc brake shown in Fig. 1-4 consists of a U-shaped brake calliper 10 , which is slidably mounted on bolts 15 , which are attached to a brake carrier plate 11 , which in turn is connected to fixed vehicle parts. The brake calliper 10 has an outer side leg 13 and an inner side leg 12 , which are connected to one another via a web 14. The inner side leg 12 has a hydraulic actuating device with a piston 16 that can be moved in a cylinder and a brake pad carrier 18 with an inner side brake pad 20. The outer side brake pad carrier 22 with its brake pad 21 , on the other hand, is supported on the outer side leg 13 . If pressure medium is supplied to the actuating device, the brake pad 20 comes into frictional engagement with the inside of the brake disc 24 , whereupon the brake calliper 10 is displaced onto the bolts 15 L and 15 R and thus brings the brake pad 21 via the brake pad carrier 22 into frictional engagement with the outside of the brake disc 24 .
The brake carrier 11 has two axially and outwardly extending arms 26 L , 26 R which engage over the circumference of the brake disc and which support both the inner brake pad carrier 18 and the outer brake pad carrier 22 on projections 30 L , 30 R which engage in grooves 32 L , 32 R of the inner brake pad carrier and the grooves 33 L , 33 R of the outer brake pad carrier. All braking forces are thus absorbed directly by the brake carrier 11 , while the brake caliper 10 serves primarily to transmit the brake actuation forces without being subjected to a braking torque.
The brake calliper 10 is slidably mounted on the bolts 15 L , 15 R , which are preferably screwed to the brake carrier 11. The bolts 15 L , 15 R are each accommodated in a bushing 40 shown in Fig. 4, which extends through corresponding holes in the inner leg 12 in the brake calliper.
This is shown in detail in Fig. 3, 4. The bushing 40 is made of an elastomeric material such as rubber and comprises two areas. The area A shown in Fig. 3 between the outer flange 45 and the inner flange 46 passes through the bore 34 in the leg 12. The flanges 45, 46 hold the bushing 40 in the bore 34 and thus prevent axial displacement of the bushing. Within the region A of the bushing 40 lies a sleeve 50 which is made of a low-friction material (Teflon) or another corresponding plastic. The sleeve 50 serves as a low-friction bearing within the bushing 40 and is held axially between the radially extending portion 49 of the flange 45 and an annular recess 43. The inner cylindrical surface of the region A of the bushing 40 is provided with recesses formed by annular ribs 42 to allow radial displacement of material when the bolt 50 is inserted into the sleeve 50. The sleeve 50 is provided with a longitudinal slot 51 to facilitate insertion into the bushing 40. The region B of the bushing 40 which extends inside the leg 12 is provided with several, preferably three, annular ribs 41 which have a circular cross-section.
To assemble the brake, the bolt 15 is inserted into the bushing 40 from the inside, i.e. first through the area B , then through the sleeve 50 , and it is screwed or otherwise fastened to the brake carrier plate 11. The annular recess 43 allows the sleeve 50 to move radially into the recess 43 and thus permits the bolt to pass through the sleeve 50 in front of the edge without the sleeve 50 being pushed away from the bolt 15 in the bushing 40 and thus leaving its seat within the area A. After the bolt 50 has been inserted into the bushing 40 , the ribs 41 in the area B come into sliding contact with the bolt 15 and are slightly compressed and deformed as shown in Fig. 3.
After assembly, the brake calliper can now slide axially onto the bolt 15 when the brake is applied. The lip 44 of the flange 45 serves as a seal and prevents dirt or other contaminants from entering the bushing 40. The annular ribs 41 , which rest against the bolt 15 in a seal-like manner, form annular recesses 47, 48 that serve as dirt chambers and prevent dirt and contaminants from entering the bushing 40 from the inside. The area between the bolt 15 and the sleeve 50 is thus kept essentially free of dirt.
The brake calliper 10 , carried by the bolts 15 L , 15 R on the inside of the brake carrier 11, no longer has any other main support. The outer leg 13 extends between the support edges 30 L , 30 R and is supported on these by means of vertical stops 35, 36. The brake calliper 10 is mainly prevented from moving in the circumferential direction by the interaction of the stops 35 , 36 with the support edges 30 L , 30 R of the carrier plate, which may result from brake shoe friction forces acting on the brake calliper 10. The brake calliper is prevented from moving radially or vertically by the interaction of a horizontal stop surface 37 and the support edge 30 R.
In this way, the brake calliper 10 is supported and can move freely axially on the bolts 15 L , 15 R which extend through the inner leg 12. On the other hand, the support surfaces arranged on the outer leg 13 prevent vertical and circumferential movement. All forces acting on the brake calliper 10 when the brake is applied are supported directly on the brake carrier 11 and are not diverted via the bolts 15 L , 15 R.
