Zur Verbindung der Stangen an Bau- und Anstreichergerüsten verwendet man seit einiger Zeit Ketten, die in der Weise fest und sicher um die zu verbindenden Hölzer gelegt werden, dafs sie an beiden Enden in ein entsprechend geformtes Stück Gufs- oder Schmiedeisen eingehängt werden', welches die Mutter für eine Schraubenspindel bildet, die sich mittelst einer tmtergelegten gezahnten Platte gegen eines der ■Gerüsthölzer stemmt, so dafs beim Drehen der Spindel die Mutter angezogen wird und sich die um die Hölzer geschlungenen Ketten anspannen.
