PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE.
Infolge diesesWith the chucks known up to now, which have a steep eccentric surface for rough adjustment of the tool and a flat eccentric surface for the actual clamping, the following disadvantages occur: The Clamping jaws were guided with play in the radial-like slots and pressed with it their pivot point directly against the eccentric surface of the coarse adjustment. As a result of this
And then the drill pressure on the pivoting jaws began to work, the fulcrum of the same pressed against the eccentric surfaces; because now these eccentric surfaces are kept very steep in the sense of the coarse setting, transferred the drill pressure according to the laws of the parallelogram of forces in the inevitable Pivoting the jaws so unfavorably on these eccentric surfaces that the pivot point the steep eccentric slipped down and the drill was not held to the desired extent became.
The present construction is intended to eliminate these disadvantages.

Fig. 3 ist eine Draufsicht mit abgeschnittenem Deckel.Fig. 3 is a top plan view with the lid cut away.
Fig. 4 ·. is a view of the sleeve f from C.
Federn k halten die Klemmbacken a in geschlossener Lage. A sleeve f is rotatably mounted around a chuck body e. This chuck body is provided with three approximately radial slots g at the top. These slots have special millings h in the middle, in which the precisely fitted sliding pieces d run. These sliders are pierced and allow the jaws a to rotate about the pins i mounted therein. Springs k hold the jaws a in the closed position. At the top of the sleeve f there is an eccentric star / which is opposite to the eccentric surfaces b and which brings the jaws to the center when the sleeve is rotated into their outermost position. It is clear from this that the clamping jaws are moved in the exact direction towards the center and the drill pressure, transmitted through the slide d, can not exert a slipping effect on the eccentric surfaces, since this slide does not follow the rotation of the jaw, but without it Game is performed in the slots h .
