Um den Zeitverlust zu verkürzen und die Leistungsfähigkeit zu erhöhen, soll der Erfindung gemäß das Ein- und Ausfahren der Schiffe gleichzeitig stattfinden. Zu diesem Zwecke ist der Schiffsbehälter in der Weise verbreitert, daß zwei Schiffe nebeneinander darin Platz haben können und außerdem noch mit einer Mittelwand versehen, welche jedoch an ihren beiden Enden Tore, Schützen, Ventile o. dgl. zwecks Steuerung des Wasserumlaufs hat.
