Gegenstand der Erfindung bildet ein elektrischer Beleuchtungskörper aus mehreren Glühlampen und einem mit Öffnungen zur Aufnahme der Lampensockel versehenen Reflektor. Die Erfindung besteht darin, daß der Reflektor die Gestalt einer Reihe umgekehrt angeordneter Stufen von runder oder vieleckiger Form besitzt, um welche hängende Lampenreifen gleichfalls stufenartig derart angeordnet sind, daß die untere Begrenzungsebene der Lampen jeder Reihe genau in der Niveaufläche der folgenden Stufe liegt. Der äußere Randteil des Reflektors kann schirmartig oder wie ein gewöhnlicher Reflektor ausgebildet sein. Ein derart gestalteter Beleuchtungskörper besitzt eine ausgezeichnete Lichtwirkung.
