Die Erfindung, die diesen Nachteil vermeidet, bezweckt, eine Vorrichtung zum Einfetten von Gewehrläufen 0. dgl. mit festem Fett zu schaffen, die sich selbst für kleinkalibrige Läufe gut eignet und von jedem Schützen in der Tasche mitgeführt werden kann, also ein leichtes, sicher wirkendes Handgerät darstellt. Die Vorrichtung besteht demgemäß aus einem an sich bekannten, mit Reibung in den Lauf eingesetzten Pfropfen, einem davon getrennten losen Kolben, der in den Lauf paßt, und aus einem mit diesem Kolben verbundenen, durch den Pfropfen hindurchgeführten Zugorgan. Diese sehr einfache und praktische Vorrichtung hat den Vorteil, daß man das feste Fett leicht anbringen und seine Menge jederzeit feststellen kanii. Außerdem kann die Vorrichtung sehr bequem und gründlich gereinigt werden, da sie aus einfachen, lose zusammenhängenden und deshalb leicht trennbaren Teilen besteht. Für die Benutzung beim Militär sind diese Vorteile von der größten Bedeutung. Soll mit dieser Vorrichtung der Lauf g eingefettet werden, so setzt man zunächst den Pfropfen α in den Lauf g ein und drückt ihn vermittels der Stange c oder auf beliebige andere Weise etwas in den Lauf g hinein. Alsdann wird um die Führungsstange c oder in den Raum zwischen dem Pfropfen α und der Laufmündung festes Fett gebracht und der Kolben b ebenfalls in den Lauf eingesetzt. Zieht man jetzt die Vorrichtung vermittels der Schnur f durch den Lauf hindurch, so wird das Fett durch den mit Reibung eingepaßten Pfropfen α zusammengepreßt und an die Wandung des Gewehrlaufes in Form eines gleichmäßigen dünnen Schleiers angedrückt.
