Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Verbesserung von Si cherheits-Steigbügeln mit einem ausschwingbaren Seitenteil und hat einen Sicherheitskorb zum Gegenstand, dessen eine Hälfte drehbar befestigt ist, so daß dieselbe ebenfalls aus dem Bereich des Fußes gebracht wird, sobald der Seitenteil des Bügels ausschwingt.
