Der Ring hat eine solche Länge, daß er in der Gebrauchslage die Greiflappen völlig überdeckt und daher eine luftdichte Verbindung zwischen Spitze und Zigarre herstellt. Es ist nicht ausgeschlossen, einen solchen Andrückring, der ζ. B. aus Metall in besonderer Ausführung hergestellt sein kann, für mehrere Spitzen nacheinander zu verwenden. Aber auch wenn er aus Papier hergestellt ist, erfüllt er seinen Zweck vollkommen.
