Acousto-electric surface wave filter groups The invention concerns components naoh the akustisohon surface wave resonator principle, which are electrically coupled in a vorgesohriebener way and therefore a high sideband suppression cause.
The principle of acoustic surface waves (AoW) resonator filters has only been known for a short time.1'2 An exemplary embodiment of a single filter is shown in Figure 1. On a piezoelectric substrate 1 are the acoustic Surface wave reflecting structures (reflectors) 2 and 3 applied. These Reflectors consist of a periodic arrangement of imperfections and their spacing from center to center half an acoustic wavelength X, at the working frequency fo of the filter. Each point of interference reflects only a fraction of the acoustic Wave. A large number, however, reflect much of the wave. The distance 1 between two reflectors is chosen so that it is within this space form acoustic waves. By means of conventional transducers 4 and 5, an electrical Signal coupled in and out. The transmitted signal then looks like in the picture 2, where a measurement result is shown. If the reflectors weren't available, it would the narrow band resonance 7 would not be present and the Durohlass curve would be the conventional one Frequency response 6 of the transducers 4 and 5 correspond.
Die Reflektoren bewirken eine sobmalbandige Resonanz 7.The reflectors cause a sobmalband resonance 7.
The invention is based on the object of the main resonance frequency (7 in Fig. 2) to let through and to attenuate side bands (6 in Fig. 2).
This object is achieved in that two or more Resonator filters can be electrically connected in series with one another.
The advantages achieved by the invention are compared to a filter with only one resonator structure increases the sidebands by an m-fold suppress when m resonator structures are closed in series.
An embodiment of the invention is shown in Figure 3. This Image represents a filter according to the invention, which consists of several individual, to can consist of m filters that are electrically connected in series. A second The exemplary embodiment is shown in Figure 4. Here are two (m = 2) filters on applied to the same substrate 1 and electrically connected in series according to the invention.
Die erzielte Seitenbänder-Unterdrückung ist dann SUm = m (U - V).The principle of sideband suppression is shown in Figures 2 and 4 to be seen. The loss of duration immediately on both sides of the main resonance is calculated with U SU is the sideband rejection of a single resonator filter as shown in Figure 1. If m resonators are now connected in series, like in Figure 3, the passage loss of the sidebands is close to the main resonance mU. However, the transit loss of the main resonance is mV. The sideband suppression achieved then SUm = m (U - V).
Experimentelle Ergebnisse eines erfindungsgemäßen Filters, wie es in Bild 3 dargestellt ist (m = 2), zeigt Bild 5.Experimental results of a filter according to the invention, such as is shown in Figure 3 (m = 2), Figure 5 shows.
Der Durchgangsverlust der Hauptresonanz erhöht sioh von 8 auf 20 dB.The sideband suppression was achieved by holding 2 resonators in series increased from 30 to 50 dB. The loss of passage of the main resonance increases from 8 to 20 dB.
