Man hat die Lampenstuben bei Bergwerken bisher in einen Arbeits- und einen Verkehrsraum eingeteilt. Beide Räume waren durch ein Gitter o. dgl. getrennt, durch das die Lampen ausgegeben werden konnten. Das Ausgeben geschah von Hand, und zwar gegen Aushändigung der Arbeiterkontrollmarke, die dann an Stelle der entnommenen Lampe an Ständern aufgehängt wurde. Diese können aber durch Einwirkung der Arbeiterkontrollmarke vermittels einer Einrichtung nach Art der Selbstverkäufer geöffnet werden.
