Aus diesem Grunde wurden Brennkraftmaschinen mit Vorbrennkammer entwickelt. In der Vorbrennkammer wird ein fettes Kraftstoff-Luft-Gemisch gezündet, wodurch sich eine Stichflamme zum Hauptbrennraum hin entwickelt, welche dann zur Zündung des mageren schwerer zündbaren Gemisches im Hauptbrennraum dient. Das Ergebnis ist eine wesentliche Schadstoffverminderung im Abgas bei gleichzeitig günstigerem Kraftstoffverbrauch. Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß dadurch gelöst, daß Motorventil und Einlaßventil ein gemeinsames bewegliches Ventilteil haben, welches eine in der Ventilsitzfläche des Motorventils angeordnete Öffnung steuert, die mit der Vorbrennkammer verbunden ist, wobei vorzugsweise als öffnung Bohrungen dienen, die in einen parallel zum Sitz angeordneten Ringkanal münden, der durch einen Saugkanal mit der Vorbrennkammer verbunden ist. Sobald das Motorventil öffnet, wird im Spalt zwischen beweglichem Ventilteil und Ventilsitz ein sehr hoher Unterdruck erzeugt.
