In der Patentschrift 114841 ist ein Verfahren zur Darstellung von roten, violetten und blauen, die Baumwolle direkt färbenden Farbstoffen beschrieben, das darin besteht, daß man die 5 · 5'-Dioxy-2 · 2'-dinaphtylamin-7 ■ 7'-disulfosäure mit 1 oder 2 Molekülen einer und derselben Diazoverbindung oder mit 2 Molekülen zweier verschiedener Diazoverbindungen kombiniert.
