Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Beleuchtungskasten für in der Aussenwerbung zu verwendende Plakate. Bei den bisherigen Beleuchtungskasten bestand die Schwierigkeit darin, die leicht auswechselbar einzubringenden Plakate vor Nässe wirksam zu schützen. Zu diesem Zweck wurden die Plakate hinter einer transparenten Schutzscheibe in den Beleuchtungskasten eingelegt. Das Abdichten der transparenten Scheibe im Kastenrahmen erforderte komplizierte Dichtungsmittel, die in mehrfacher Hinsicht nicht einer wirklich befriedigenden Lösung des Problems entsprachen.
