Sowohl in der Ausführung Fig. 8 bis 10 als auch in Fig. 12 erstreckt sich die Führung 5 längs der Schneide des beweglichen Messers, also zwischen Schnittlinie und Naht. Sie ist aber an dieser Stelle sehr dünn, so dafs der stehenbleibende Rand nur eine geringe Breite besitzt. Uebrigens ist sie aus demselben Grunde, wie früher das als Führung dienende Messer F', zur Richtung der Fortbewegung des Stoffes schräg gestellt, und ihre untere Kante befindet sich gerade über der oberen Kante des unteren Messers, so dafs sie den Stoff hier straff niederhält und das Beschneiden desselben wesentlich erleichtert.The former version is the better one because it allows adjustment.
