Derartige Vorrichtungen sind an sich nicht neu, sie dienen jedoch bisher ihrem Zweck nicht vollständig, weil eine als Auflage für den zu bewegenden Körperteil benutzte, im allgemeinen auf einem Kugelgelenk gelagerte Platte in ihrer Bewegung nicht mannigfach begrenzt werden kann. . Die Schwingungen der Platte sollen nämlich im allgemeinen nicht nach beliebigen Richtungen und bis zu einem beliebigen Neigungswinkel, sondern nach vom Arzt festzusetzenden Regeln erfolgen, welche zur Betätigung der einen oder anderen Muskelpartie verschieden sind. Um dies zu ermöglichen, sind in einer feststehenden, zugleich dem Kugelzapfen als Stütze dienenden Platte eine Anzahl Ausbohrungen vorgesehen, welche verschieden lange, nach oben gerichtete Stifte aufnehmen können.
