A ist ein durchbohrter Cylinder aus hartem Holz, Hartgummi oder anderem geeigneten Stoff, der an den Enden abgerundet ist, um jede scharfe Kante zu vermeiden. In der Bohrung des Cylinders liegt eine durch eingeschraubten Deckel geschlossene Röhre B aus Metall, in welcher, ein Stab C in Führungen α¹ β² α³ beweglich angeordnet ist. Dieser Stab C bildet zusammen mit der Feder D die eigentliche Werfvorrichtung. Die Feder D hat ihr festes Lager auf der Führung <ζ², während die Muffe E, welche durch den Stift b mit dem Stabe C verbunden ist, ein Spannen der Feder bewirken kann. Zur sicheren Führung und Verhinderung der Drehung dieser Muffe B und damit des Stempels' C bewegt sich der Stift b in einer Nuth der Röhre B, Fig. 4. Der Stab C wird in seiner angespannten Lage dadurch gehalten, dafs ein Zapfen F, der fest an einer Flachfeder G befestigt ist, in einen entsprechenden Einschnitt des Stabes. (J greift. Das Vorschnellen des Stabes und Herausschleudern der Pille wird dadurch bewirkt, dafs ein ungleicharmiger, däumenartiger Hebel H, der um den Bolzen c drehbar ist, gegen die Feder G drückt, diese und mit ihr den Zapfen F nach oben bewegt, worauf der Stab C durch die Schraubenfeder D nach vorn getrieben wird und die vor dem Teller J liegende Pille herausschleudert. Hört der Druck auf den Hebel H auf, so tritt der Zapfen G wieder in seine Lage, und durch ein Zurückdrücken des Stabes C, welches durch einen einfachen hölzernen Stöpsel, Fig. 7, geschieht, spannt man die Feder. Die gewölbte Flachfeder K bezweckt, die Pille sanft gegen die Wandungen der Röhre A zu drücken und dadurch ein vorzeitiges Herausfallen zu verhindern. Der Teller J ist der Wölbung der Feder entsprechend ausgespart, Fig. 3, damit der Stab am Vorschnellen durch die Feder K nicht gehindert werde.
