Abstract

A gas sensor comprises a circuit board (5) arranged on an electrolyte chamber sealing a pressure equalizing membrane (7). A pressure equalizing chamber (10) is arranged between the circuit board and the pressure equalizing membrane. A casting opening (16) leading into the pressure equalizing chamber also is provided and is dimensioned so that a casting composition (19) is able to flow into the pressure equalizing chamber. The pressure equalizing chamber is completely filled by the casting composition. An independent claim is also included for a casting process for the gas sensor.
