Fertigstellung der Dacheindeckung oder Außenhaut die verwendeten Sonnenkollektoren von den übrigen Dachziegeln optisch nicht mehr unterscheidbar sind. Bei der Herstellung des neuerungsgemäßen Sonnenkollektors kann beispielsweise als Basis, die die Außen- oder Kollektorfläche des Sonnenkollektors bildet, ein Dachziegel oder Dachstein verwendet werden, mit dem auch die Eindeckung des Daches außerhalb des von den Sonnenkollektoren eingenommenen Bereichs erfolgt. Auf der Rückseite des den Sonnenkollektor bildenden Dachziegels oder Dachsteines wird dann ein beispielsweise haubenartiges Kollektorelement befestigt, und zwar derart, daß von diesem Kollektorelement und der Rückseite der Basis ein nach außen hin geschlossener Hohlraum oder eine entsprechende Kammer gebildet sind, die von dem Wärme transportierenden Medium, beispielsweise Wasser oder Sole durchströmt werden kann.
