Abstract

A length of woven curtain material has warp (2) and weft threads (3). Sections of the material are then intertwined to present a plaited (6) appearance. During the weaving process a given number of warp (2) and weft (3) stitches are prepared. The warp stitches form a series of loops. Each warp stitch receives two or more weft stitches (31). The first and last weft stitches form a meandering line around the first warp (21) and the last warp (22) crosses over. Subsequent weft stitches (3) engage with the warp stitches until a length of cloth of pre-determined length has been woven. Then, each weft stitch (3) is intertwined with the warp stitches (2) to form the plaited pattern (6) which is either straight, wavy or zigzag. The warp and weft threads are of natural or man-made fibre.

The invention relates to a curtain fabric which can be used for window, door or tablecloth and can increase the quality of the curtain.

State of the art

The textile curtain (and the drape) is made from a single piece of fabric and therefore bears the pattern of the piece of fabric used. In order to decorate the piece of fabric, sewing is required.

For this reason, the inventor, based on many years of experience in this field, has developed the present invention after extensive study.

Object of the invention

The invention is based on the object of creating a curtain fabric, wherein the warps and wefts of a predetermined number are woven by means of a weaving machine into a piece of fabric of a certain length and are then interwoven with one another to form a cable pattern.

A further object of the invention is to provide a curtain fabric, wherein the braids of the braid pattern can have different lengths and curvatures.

Ways to carry out the invention

In the following, the invention is explained in more detail with reference to the attached drawings.

Figure 1 shows the structure of the invention. Figure 2 shows the curtain fabric 1 according to the invention as a flat structure. Figure 3 shows an enlarged view of the curtain fabric 1 formed as a flat structure. In the curtain fabric 1 according to the invention, the warps 2 and wefts 3 of a predetermined number are woven by means of a weaving machine to form a piece of fabric 4 with a specific length. interwoven to form the braid pattern 6, which then forms the curtain surface 5.

The weaving of the piece of fabric 4 and the braid pattern 6 is described in detail below using an example.

Figure 4 shows the structure of the curtain fabric according to the invention, and Figure 5 shows the enlarged views of the upper, middle and lower sections according to Figure 4.

The weaving machine used here can be a general weaving machine or a computer-aided weaving machine, but the general weaving machine is only suitable for curtain fabric of smaller width.

As can be seen from Figures 4 and 5, the weaving process includes the following steps: The warps 2 and the wefts 3 of a predetermined number are prepared. The warps 2 are formed into continuous loops. At least two wefts 3 are inserted into each warp 2, the first weft 31 and the last weft 3 being crossed in a serpentine manner around the first warp 21 and the last warp 22. The further wefts 3 are inserted into the warps 2 in the same way until a piece of fabric 4 of a certain length is produced. Thereafter, each weft 3 is successively interwoven with the warps 2 in such a way that the cable pattern 6 is formed, which then forms the curtain surface 5 (A, B, C in Figure 5).

This creates the curtain fabric 1 according to the invention. Figure 6 shows an embodiment of the invention and Figure 7 shows a further embodiment of the invention. The width W and the length L of the curtain fabric can be freely selected as required. This also applies to the length L of the piece of fabric 4 and the cable pattern 6. The curtain fabric can therefore be designed in different ways. For example, the cables of the cable pattern can be straight, wavy or zigzag. Thread made of natural material such as gauze, linen, cotton and silk or artificial material such as synthetic fiber can be used as the warp and weft.

The feature of the invention is the cable pattern 6 under the piece of fabric 4, through which the curtain can have a variety of shapes.

Due to the above facts, the invention fully meets the requirements for a utility model in terms of its availability, progressiveness and novelty. Claims (4)

Curtain fabric, wherein the warps and the wefts of a predetermined number can be woven by means of a weaving machine to form a piece of fabric of a certain length, characterized by a design such that the warps ( 2 ) and the wefts ( 3 ) can then be interwoven with one another to form a cable pattern ( 6 ). 2. Curtain fabric according to claim 1, characterized by a design such that during the weaving process the warps ( 2 ) and the wefts ( 3 ) can be prepared in a predetermined number; the warps ( 2 ) can be formed into continuous loops and at least two wefts ( 3 ) can be inserted into each warp ( 2 ), the first weft ( 31 ) and the last weft ( 3 ) can be crossed in a serpentine manner around the first warp ( 21 ) and the last warp ( 22 ), the further wefts ( 3 ) can be inserted into the warps ( 2 ) in the same way until a piece of fabric ( 4 ) of a certain length is produced; and then each weft ( 3 ) can be interwoven with the warps ( 2 ) one after the other in such a way that the cable pattern ( 6 ) is created. 3. Curtain fabric according to claim 1, characterized in that the braids of the braid pattern ( 6 ) are straight, wavy or zigzag. 4. Curtain fabric according to claim 1, characterized in that the warp and weft threads are made of natural material, such as gauze, linen, cotton and silk, or artificial material, such as synthetic fiber.
