Die Hebevorrichtung besteht zunächst aus je einer an den Bettrahmenteilen α mittels Haken b einzuhängenden Windevorrichtung, welche aus je einer in einem Rahmen c geführten Zahnstange d besteht. In die Zahnstange greift eine mit Handgriff e versehene Sperrklinke/ ein, welche unter Wirkung einer Feder g steht, die das Bestreben hat, die Sperrklinke / stets in Eingriff mit der Zahnstange d zu halten. In die Zahnstange d greift ferner ein Zahnsegment h ein, an welchem ein langer Handgriff i befestigt ist. An dem Drehzapfen j des Zahnsegmentes h greifen zwei Laschen k an (Fig. 1), welche an den Rahmen c angelenkt sind. Um diese festen Zapfen schwingen die Laschen k, so daß hierdurch das Zahnsegment h außer Eingriff mit der Stange d gebracht werden kann. Der Zapfen j des Zahnsegmentes h lagert in entsprechenden Ausschnitten von zwei Rahmenvorsprüngen I (Fig. 1), welche für das Zahnsegment beim Anheben der Zahnstange d ein festes Widerlager bilden. Um die Bewegung der Zahnstange nach oben und nach unten zu begrenzen, sind an der Zahnstange Anschläge m vorgesehen. An ihren oberen Enden tragen die Zahnstangen d\e einen Haken n, in welche eine mit Ösen 0 versehene Stange r eingehängt werden kann. Die Stange r ist hohl ausgebildet, während die Ösen 0 mit langen Zapfen s versehen sind, welche in der hohlen Stange / festgestellt werden können. Dies geschieht, indem das Zahnsegment h in Eingriff mit der Zahnstange d gebracht wird und mittels ihres Handgriffes i im Sinne der in Fig. 3 eingezeichneten Pfeilrichtung niedergedrückt wird. Die Sperrklinke / verhindert hierbei das Zurückgleiten der Zahnstange d, wenn das Segment h aus. der Zahnstange d ausgelöst ist, um nach erfolgter Drehung desselben erneut in Eingriff mit der Zahnstange d gebracht zu werden. Ist die Hebevorrichtung mit dem Kranken genügend hochgehoben, so löst man das Segment h aus der Zahnstange d aus und bringt es in die in Fig. 1 dargestellte Lage, in welcher der Griff i nicht hinderlich ist. Soll der Kranke wieder auf das Bett niedergelegt werden, so bringt man das Segment h wieder in Eingriff mit der Zahnstange d, löst dann, indem man den Griff i festhält, die Sperrklinke/ mittels ihres Handgriffes e aus der Zahnstange d aus und läßt die Windevorrichtung durch Nachlassen langsam abwärts gleiten. Reicht die einmalige Drehung des Zahhsegmentes nicht aus, um die Hebevorrichtung so weit abwärts zu bewegen, daß der Kranke auf das Bett zu liegen kommt, so rückt man die Sperrklinke/ wieder in die Zahnstange d ein, dreht dann das Segment h aufwärts und rückt dann erst die Sperrklinke / wieder aus.
