Elements of modern architecture are often used in this process, and a pleasant and balanced juxtaposition of "old" and "new" is achieved. But modern architecture is also constantly looking for new and creative ideas in which examples from the past are combined with modern architecture. The materials used and their combinations are diverse. The use of modern elements of lighting technology leads to an almost inexhaustible fascination - a gala of light. In relation to the handrail, this means that an important building element falls into the viewer's or user's field of vision in accordance with the basic architectural statement or the basic concept. The handrail is simply given another function in addition to its previous tasks as a design and safety element, or its safety function is expanded through the use of the latest light sources/illuminants. The aura that is created at the same time and the sense of well-being that is generated for the user and observer represent another unmistakable effect. In terms of energy, the solution is important in that a constant minimum level of illumination of the staircases is guaranteed without the need for permanent use of main lighting.

Thin-walled real wood veneers, natural, ceramic and carbon fiber fabrics (1) with a maximum thickness of 0.03 mm are treated using specific technology and combined with ^the latest light sources/illuminants (1) to illuminate them from behind and through. The freely formed elements made of real wood veneers, natural, carbon and ceramic fiber fabrics (1) are permanently connected to the base body of the handrail (2) in combination with light sources/illuminants (1). Their deformation is therefore based on the course and cross-section of the handrail. This can be made of different materials or material combinations.

A recess is made in the lower half of the handrail. This recess is mainly aligned with the cross-section of the handrail and accommodates the lower light source/illuminant (3). The light source/illuminant (3) has the function of indirectly illuminating the staircase by radiating light downwards. This also ensures greater safety when walking.

In addition to a conventional on/off switch, the entire handrail can be switched on and off as follows:

- dimmable (brightness control according to your wishes);

- via time interval (switching on/off);

- movement-dependent (adapted to stair users);

- segment-related (e.g. individual floors).

thin-walled real wood veneers, natural, carbon and ceramic fibre fabrics ( 1 ) with a maximum thickness of 0.03 mm, which are specifically treated and shaped using technological methods,
and deformed elements that are combined with light sources/illuminants and permanently connected to the base body of the handrail ( 2 ) at any point
and whose cross-section has a milled recess on its underside where a light source/illuminant ( 3 ) is inserted for the indirect illumination of the staircase.
