Abstract

The container can be free-standing on feet or hanging on strings, chains or leather straps. It is surrounded by one or more water reservoirs (2) for evaporating the water. A sieve (5) is provided above a drainage hole (4). A collection container (3) is provided for surplus water. The container may be made of glass, ceramic or plastics.

Ceramic has the advantage that in the water tank ( 2 ) water through the unglazed inner wall in the pot provides moisture. Glass or translucent plastic is better for types with root assimilation.

The pot has a very large drain hole ( 4 ) with a screen made of fly screen ( 5 ), which prevents substrate from falling out of the pot.

The irrigation water runs accordingly of the chosen Plant substrate quickly from and through the root network. One can thereby adjust all his plants to the same pouring intervals.

Through the large drain hole ( 4 ) a lot of air can pass through the corresponding holeier substrate.

Container for cultivating epiphytic and lithophytic plants, in particular orchids, as a receptacle POS 1 or a hanging vessel POS 2, characterized in that one or more water reservoirs ( 2 ) surrounded by evaporation, with sieve ( 5 ) above the drain hole ( 4 ), and collecting containers ( 3 ) for the excess irrigation water.
