Stand der Technik: Es gibt zur Zeit superhelle LED's, die weißes Licht aussenden, aber nicht in solcher Bauart, dass man sie einfach in herkömmlichen Leuchtvorrichtungen einsetzen kann. Die Erfindung ist ein Leuchtmittel, das in Form und Größe dem eines herkömmlichen Leuchtmittels (Glühbirne) entspricht. Hierbei wird der jeweilige Leuchtmittelsockel (z. B.: Bajonett, Steckverbindung oder Gewinde) verwendet, oder das Ganze inklusive Sockel aus Kunststoff oder aus einem anderen Material gefertigt. Auf diesem Sockel können mehrere LED-Reflektoren (Kathode und Annode) entweder nebeneinander oder auch übereinander montiert werden. Der Abstrahlwinkel der LED-Reflektoren (1) beträgt ca. 90 Grad zur Mittelachse des Sockels. Das Zentrum der Lichteimitierung liegt im Zentrum des Reflektors, nimmt also die Position der zu ersetzenden Lichtquelle (zum Beispiel des Glühfadens einer Glühbirne) ein. Das Licht der LED's ist bei dieser Bauart durch den vorhandenen Reflektor der umzurüstenden Lichtquelle fokussierbar und wird durch diesen verstärkt. Dadurch wird die Lichtreichweite vergrößert. Die LED-Einheiten werden mit einem transparenten Gehäuse (2) aus Kunststoff oder einem anderen Material umgeben (eingegossen). Die Spannungsanpassung kann durch Vorschaltung elektronischer Bauteile, sowohl inner- als auch außerhalb des Sockels erfolgen.State of the art: There are currently super-bright LEDs that emit white light, but not in such a design that they can be easily used in conventional lighting devices.
