Viele industriell hergestellte Produkte müssen verschlossen oder an den menschlichen Körper angepaßt werden. Bei einem Schuh sind beide dieser Faktoren gegeben. Ein Schuhverschluß muß sich den individuellen ergonomischen Gegebenheiten des Fußes beim Verschließen anpassen können. Der Schnürschuhverschluß besitzt von allen Schuhverschlüssen die beste Anpassungsfähigkeit und wird daher auch im sportlich professionellen Bereich genutzt.Many industrially manufactured products have to be fastened or adapted to the human body. Der nach dem herkömmlichen Binden einer Schleife ungenutzte Bereich des Bandes entfällt dadurch. Der Schuh wirkt somit in geöffnetem als auch in geschlossenem Zustand kompakt und geordnet. Weiterhin ist der Verschluß durch die Verwendung eines speziell vorgegebenen Bandverlaufes auch für hohe Schuhe geeignet, da beim Herausziehen der Bandschlaufen aus einer oder mehrerer Ösen des Sohuhes der Abstand zur Fixierungsstelle halbiert wird und der Senkel mit konfektionierter Länge dementsprechend auch länger sein kann.
