The invention relates to an ornamental vessel, in particular for holding a candle or a similar light source as a lantern, which is at least partially transparent.

There are decorative vessels of the aforementioned type on the market that are used for interior decoration. The decorative vessels, which are designed like aquariums or flower vases, are partially filled to create a decorative impression. It is popular, for example, to use a flower vase-like decorative glass vessel as a lantern by filling the decorative vessel with bird sand up to a certain level and placing a candle on top of this sand. Other decorative contents can also be considered for such decorative vessels, such as flowers, glass balls or the like.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that the decorative vessel is at least partially double-walled and the space within the double wall is accessible for the introduction of decorative material.

In the decorative vessel according to the invention, decoration can thus be carried out within the double wall, possibly up to the upper edge of the double wall, without the actual interior of the decorative vessel having to be filled accordingly, so that a possible light source can still be inserted relatively deep into the decorative vessel and the decoration within the double wall helps to shape the light emerging from the decorative vessel. More or less transparent decorative materials are preferably used for this, at least in part, in order to enable a corresponding light emission, i.e. to leave the double wall translucent in large areas even after decoration. For example, single-colored or multi-colored tissue paper or other transparent paper can be used for this, which can be easily inserted into the double wall, whereby structural effects can also be achieved by creases or folds.

The advantage of the double wall according to the invention, particularly when using paper as a decorative material, is that the paper is securely placed in the double wall, i.e. it is stable in position, and at the same time, as a flammable material, it is protected from the open flame of a candle, for example. The material housed in the double wall is also protected from the effects of drafts.

In addition to appropriate transparent decorative materials, opaque materials can of course also be placed decoratively in the double wall.

Decorative materials that can be considered, by way of example and by no means an exhaustive list, include, in addition to tissue paper, fabric, granules, stones, shells, pieces of glass, feathers, angel hair, artificial flowers, flowers or blossoms, grains or the like, as well as a potpourri made of different materials.

As already mentioned, flammable materials can also be used, and almost any candle size can be used within the decorative vessel, depending on the dimensions of the decorative vessel.

A particularly elegant design and at the same time easy and convenient access to the double wall for decoration options is provided according to a further development of the decorative vessel according to the invention in that the double wall is formed by congruent, concentrically arranged vessel peripheral walls or by an outer vessel and an inner vessel. The wall areas can also be formed to different heights, for example.

A further development of the invention provides that the gap in the double wall is designed to be watertight, so that a liquid, in particular water, can be filled into the gap, particularly for decoration. This water can be colored, for example, and/or contain other decorative materials such as sinking sediments, floating components, e.g. flowers, or even floating components.

All in all, with the help of the decorative vessel according to the invention, a wide variety of decorative effects, in particular color effects, can be achieved.

Even without introducing a light source into the decorative vessel, a corresponding effect can be achieved by incoming and outgoing sunlight or other

light coming from outside. It would therefore be possible, for example, to fill such a decorative vessel with cut flowers or to plant it.

The decorations can be easily redesigned and changed so that the decoration can be adapted to certain rooms or circumstances. This is particularly interesting not only in the home, but also in the commercial sector, for example in restaurants, as decorated ornamental vessels can be decorated in different ways for christenings, weddings or funerals. In particular, it is possible to sell such ornamental vessels with a range of different decorative items.

All examples of decorative vessels shown have in common that they each have a double wall consisting of an outer wall 1 and an inner wall 2, which delimit an intermediate space 3 between them, which is open and accessible from above for the introduction of decorative material.

The outer wall 1 and the inner wall 2 are arranged concentrically to each other and delimit congruent surfaces. The distance that determines the dimensioning of the intermediate space 2 can in principle be chosen arbitrarily. The two walls can therefore also be further apart from each other.

The examples show various geometric shapes for decorative vessels. Of course, many other possible shapes come into consideration, especially more irregular or curved shapes, such as goblet shapes, spherical shapes, bell shapes, kidney shapes or the like.

Decorative vessel, in particular for holding a candle or a similar light source as a lantern, which is at least partially transparent, characterized in that it is double-walled at least in sections and the intermediate space ( 3 ) within the double wall ( 1 , 2 ) is accessible for the introduction of decorative material. 2. Decorative vessel according to claim 1, characterized in that the double wall is formed by congruent, concentrically arranged vessel peripheral walls ( 1 , 2 ) or by an outer vessel and an inner vessel. 3. Ornamental vessel according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the intermediate space ( 3 ) in the double wall ( 1 , 2 ) is watertight.
