Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a connection arrangement according to the in the preamble of Features specified claim 1.
Such a connection arrangement is known from German patent specification DE 44 44 097 C2 a plastic-metal composite pipe with a second plastic-metal composite pipe known by means of a double sleeve. The composite pipe contains an outer layer and one Inner layer of plastic, between which a metal layer, in particular of aluminum is arranged around. The sleeve contains an electric welding coil in its inner surface, and heating creates a welded joint between the thermoplastic the sleeve and the likewise thermoplastic plastic of the inserted pipe end manufactured. The inside of the sleeve contains a ring collar, which acts as a joint surface for the insert Pipe end is used and has a smaller inner diameter than the inner surface of the Sleeve. The collar also contains part of the welding coil around the axial end faces to weld the outer tube and the inner tube, the end face of the metal layer in Embed the weld on all sides and prevent corrosion of the same. The Manufacturing this welding sleeve is quite complex, especially with regard to the collar with the assigned part of the welding winding for welding the end faces. Further the end faces or the cutting plane must be exactly orthogonal to the radial plane Longitudinal axis.
Furthermore, from the German design document DE 27 35 295 B1 a device for Connecting the ends of two plastic pipes coated with plastic known, the Pipe ends can be inserted into a double sleeve. The outer plastic Layers of the pipes mentioned exist as well as an inner layer of the double sleeve made of a blowing agent-containing thermoplastic elastomer. In an annular gap between the respective inner surface of the double sleeve and the inserted An insert sleeve is arranged from the tube end, which is made from a heat-conducting plant fabric consists, in particular of aluminum or an aluminum alloy. The outer The end of this insert sleeve overlaps the free sleeve edge. It also contains Insert sleeve a number of openings. The cap-shaped outer end of the Insert sleeve allows a heat gun to be attached and as a result of the heating of the Insert sleeve a melting and driving process within the connection gap between the inserted pipe end and the double sleeve. The blowing agent-containing thermoplastic elastomer can thus cover the entire annular gap fill in elastically and penetrate the above-mentioned openings of the insert sleeve, which creates an elastic and firm connection. There is a danger of faulty connections, especially if the heating is too short or insufficient the insert sleeve. Furthermore, the quality of the connection is not insignificant Scope depending on the processing temperature, so that especially at low gene outside temperatures and thus an increased heat flow problems in the. Establishing a firm and tight connection can occur.
It is also known to connect single-layer plastic pipes to one another by gluing. Such plastic pipes and sleeves are made of plastic, such as PVC, which can be connected to one another by means of a suitable adhesive. To do this, click on the outer surface of the pipe end to be inserted into the sleeve and / or in the inner surface the sleeve glue is applied and then the pipe end is in the sleeve inserted so that after a certain reaction and curing time of the adhesive the connection is established. In the case of plastic-metal composite pipes, one corresponds to the like glue connection does not meet the requirements, since the metal layer on the end face exposed and exposed to the attack of the medium flowing through the pipeline.
Proceeding from this, the object of the invention is the connection arrangement tion of the type mentioned in such a way that with little constructive Effort a reliable adhesive connection can be produced. The assembly effort should be reduced to a minimum and the front surface of the metal layer in front of outer Be permanently protected. Handling in the manufacture of the Connection should be simple and the penetration of glue into the inside of the pipe should be reliably prevented.
This object is achieved in accordance with that specified in claim 1 Characteristics.
The connection arrangement according to the invention is characterized by a reliable function Construction and easy handling. It is a sleeve-shaped Adapter provided, which after applying the adhesive together with the pipe end in insert the sleeve. The adapter is partially inside the pipe end to insert and it has a flange on which the end face of the tubes of the composite pipe can be brought to the plant and its outer diameter in is essentially the same size as the inside diameter of the sleeve. When assembling the pipe end of the composite pipe is initially only partially on the adapter slide in and then the adhesive is applied to part of the pipe end and the still free part of the adapter, but expediently not applied to its flange. The entrance area of the sleeve is also provided with adhesive. When complete Push the pipe end onto the adapter and push the adapter into the socket the end face of the composite pipe is completely covered in the adhesive with a high degree of certainty embedded and thus sealed. The end face of the composite pipe is on the back Surface of the flange pressed and glued to it, so that the end face of the Composite pipe and thus the metal layer is completely embedded in adhesive.
A tight connection is also made when the cuts are not exactly right-angled or at an angle NEN tube ends guaranteed according to the invention, since the adhesive itself reliably bridged and filled a relatively large gap. The outer diameter of the flange and the inner diameter of the sleeve are expediently abge one another agrees that a sliding fit and preferably a press fit given is. Thus, on the one hand, the penetration of adhesive into the interior of the pipe prevents and on the other hand a safe shut-off to the pipe interior and there ensures existing flow medium, which consequently not with the Adhesive can come into contact. The adapter preferably has on the outer surface, expediently a hook-like extension at its end facing away from the flange on which an additional locking of the adapter, especially during the Installation with adhesive application, guaranteed in the inner surface of the composite pipe. The glued together surfaces of the sleeve and the inserted pipe end of the Composite pipes are at least as long as those according to the applicable standards, ins special DIN 80 63 or EN 12 731, specified lengths.
Es zeigen:Special refinements and developments of the invention are in the sub claims and the following description of a special embodiment explained in more detail. Show it:

Fig. 2 die Verbindungsanordnung während der Montage, Fig. 2, the connecting arrangement during assembly,
Fig. 3 die fertige Verbindungsanordnung. Fig. 3 shows the finished connection arrangement.
Fig. 1 shows in an axial longitudinal section the pipe end of a composite pipe 2 containing an outer layer 4 , an inner layer 6 and an interposed metal layer 8. The outer layer 4 and the inner layer 6 consist of an adhesive plastic and the intermediate or metal layer 8th is particularly intended to increase strength and / or as a barrier layer. Composite pipes of this type are provided in predetermined lengths and are regularly cut to the required length on site when installing a pipeline. The intermediate layer 8 is exposed on the end face 10 of the composite pipe 2 .
Furthermore, a sleeve 12 is provided, which is part of a double sleeve, the other sleeve 13 being provided for connecting a further composite pipe. Alternatively, the sleeve 12 can be part of a fitting, a fitting or a molded part to which the composite pipe 2 is to be connected. The sleeve 12 contains an inner surface 14 with an inner diameter 16 such that the pipe end of the composite pipe 2 can be inserted into the sleeve. Furthermore, the sleeve 12 contains a stop 18 , which is formed as a ring collar in the double sleeve shown here.
The connection arrangement further includes a sleeve-shaped adapter 20 with an essentially cylindrical part 22 and a radially outwardly directed flange 24. The part 22 has an outer diameter 26 which is matched to the inner diameter of the inner surface 27 of the composite pipe 2 such that the adapter 20th can be inserted into the pipe end of the composite pipe 2 and at least approximately bears against its end face 10 against the rear face 28 of the flange 24 . On the front, the flange 24 is preferably provided with a chamfer or conical inclined surface 29 in order to facilitate insertion into the sleeve 12 .
The adapter 20 has at the other end 30 , which faces away from the flange 24 , a hook-shaped extension 32 which projects beyond the outer surface of the cylindrical part 22 by a predetermined amount. The hook-shaped extension 32 is predetermined such that, taking into account the elasticity of the plastic of the composite tube 2, the adapter 20 can be pressed manually into the tube end of the composite tube 2 . By means of this extension 32 , fixation or locking of the adapter 20 is ensured in a particularly expedient manner, especially during assembly. To facilitate insertion, the outer surface 34 of the other end 30 facing the flange 24 is expediently conical. The conical outer surface 34 is also part of the hook-shaped extension 32. The wesent union cylindrical part 22 of the adapter 20 has a wall thickness 36. The wall thickness 36 is set comparatively small, namely significantly smaller than the wall thickness of the composite pipe 2 and / or the wall thickness the sleeve 12.
In an alternative embodiment, not shown, the part 22 has knobs or webs on its outer surface or is slightly conical, the cone tip facing away from the flange 24 . Thus, if necessary in combination with the described hook-shaped extension, on the one hand, manufacturing tolerances, in particular the inner surface of the composite tube 2 , can be compensated and, on the other hand, a locking or at least provisional fixation of the adapter 20 with respect to the composite tube 2 can be achieved.
The flange 24 has an outer diameter 38 which is matched to the inner diameter 16 of the sleeve 12 . The outer diameter 38 is preferably predetermined to be larger than the inner diameter 16 in the manner of an interference fit. The excess is specified in such a way that a fitter can manually press the adapter 20 into the sleeve 12 using a given force until the flange 24 comes to rest against the stop 18 . In this way, on the one hand, the penetration of adhesive into the interior of the pipe is avoided and, on the other hand, an additional sealing is ensured in that the medium flowing in the pipeline does not come into contact with the adhesive. In order to allow air to escape when the adapter is pressed into the sleeve, at least one, preferably several small recesses or longitudinal grooves 40 are provided on the substantially cylindrical outer surface of the flange 24 .
Fig. 2 shows the connector assembly during installation, wherein the adapter 20 is partially inserted into the pipe end of the composite tube 2. The hook-shaped extension 32 ensures that the adapter 20 is fixed in the position partially inserted into the composite pipe 2 . By means of an applicator 42 , which preferably contains a spherical applicator 44 made of foam, adhesive 46 is applied all around to the free outer surface of the part 22 and the outer surface of the pipe end. The axial length of the adhesive application essentially corresponds to the axial length of the adapter part 22. Furthermore, the adhesive 47 is applied to the front area 48 of the inner surface 14 by means of the application device 42 . The front region 48 is only a fraction of the total axial length of the inner surface 14 up to approximately in the order of maximum 25%. It is thus expediently ensured that when the tube end is pressed in with the adapter and its flange 24, the adhesive applied is not pressed beyond the stop 18 or into the interior of the tube.
It is of particular importance that the amount of adhesive 47 applied in the front area 48 of the sleeve 12 is substantially less than the amount of adhesive applied to the adapter part 22 and the front end of the composite pipe 2 . It is also of particular importance that the inner surface 14 of the sleeve 12 is slightly conical in such a way that the diameter of the front area 48 is larger by a predetermined amount than before the stop 18. Although there is only a very small difference in diameter, and preferably less than 1 mm, this measure advantageously prevents the adhesive from getting into the interior of the tube in an undesirable manner when the flange 24 is pressed in.
Fig. 3 shows the fully assembled connection assembly, now the end face 10 abuts the composite pipe 2 to the rear surface of the flange 24 and is adhered there by means of the adhesive, whereby a tight closure and sealing of the intermediate or metal layer 8 is achieved even if the end face 10 extends obliquely to the longitudinal axis. Apart from the free end 50 , on which the adhesive 46 shown there is shown, for the sake of clarity, no adhesive is shown in the connection area of the pipe end with the sleeve 12 and the adapter 20 . However, it goes without saying that the surfaces lying against one another are tightly and firmly connected to one another by means of the adhesive. Due to the described interference fit of the flange 24 in the inner surface 14 it is ensured that the medium flowing through the finished pipeline is not in contact with the adhesive. The gluing of the inner surface of the sleeve 12 and the outer surface of the inserted pipe end of the composite pipe 2 takes place over a length 52. This length 52 is preferably at least as large as that specified by the applicable standards, in particular DIN 80 63 or EN 12 731 Minimum length.
