Den Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung bildet ein Kohlenhalter für die bewegliche Kohle von Bogenlampen mit'geschlossenem Lichtbogen, der sich gegenüber den bekannten . Einrichtungen dieser Art dadurch vorteilhaft auszeichnet, daß seine Konstruktion überaus einfach, dennoch aber durchaus sicher wirkend ist und weder durch Oxydation, noch durch Einstauben und Kohlepartikelchen in seiner Wirkung beeinträchtigt werden kann. Es wird dies dadurch erreicht, daß der die Form einer Hülse besitzende Kohlenhalter. an seinem oberen Ende unter dem Einfluß einer Kugel steht und zu dem Zweck derartig schräg oder kurvenförmig ausgeschnitten ist, daß die Kugel einerseits gegen die Wandung des den Kohlenhalter aufnehmenden Rohres, andererseits gegen die Kante des Ausschnittes liegt, so daß eine Keil- oder Klemmwirkung eintritt, die eine Bewegung des Kohlenhalters innerhalb des Rohres durchaus sicher verhindert, so daß die Kohle leicht eingeschoben werden kann, und zwar so weit, bis das obere Ende der Kohle die Kugel berührt, diese aus der Klemmstellung aushebt und hierdurch den Kohlenhalter wieder in dem Rohr freigibt.The subject of the present invention is a carbon holder for the movable Coal of arc lamps with a 'closed arc, which is opposite to the known . Während der ersten Periode des Einschiebens der Kohle 6 bleibt die durch die Kugel 5 veranlaßte Klemmwirkung bestehen, wird aber sofort aufgehoben, sobald das obere Ende der Kohle 6 die Kugel berührt und somit den Eingriff derselben mit der Rohrwandung bzw. mit der schiefen Fläche des Kohlenhalters 2 aufhebt, wie dies Fig. 3 zeigt. In diesem Äugenblick wird .die Kohle durch die Federzungen 3 der Fassung festgehalten und kann, da die Klemmwirkung der Kugel 5 aufgehoben ist, in dem. Rohr 1 frei auf und ab bewegt werden.
