Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Bienenwohnung, bei der die Honigräume zur Seite des Brutraumes liegen. Bei den bekannten Bienenwohnungen dieser Art sind die Wabenrähmchen im Honig und Brutraum in derselben Richtung aufgehängt. Bei der Bienenwohnung nach der vorliegenden Erfindung dagegen sind die Rähmchen des Honigraumes rechtwinklig zu denen des Brutraumes gestellt, so daß die Bienenwohnung, wenn z. B. an jeder Seite des Brutraumes ein Honigraum liegt, im Grundriß die Form eines Kreuzes hat. Hierdurch wird erreicht, daß die Bienen die Honigräume früher belagern als bei der erwähnten bekannten Einrichtung. Außerdem ergibt sich noch eine zweckmäßige Anordnung der Fluglöcher.
