In order to regenerate vulcanized rubber, it has already been proposed, as is well known, the rubber in a solvent, especially petroleum or in a mixture of petroleum and gasoline, to dissolve, to evaporate the solution to a syrup consistency, then this mass with acetone to boil for a while, to decant the acetone-containing liquid from the precipitated rubber, Then cook this with alcoholic baking soda, which is also decanted whereupon the mass is boiled again with alcohol and then with water.
This procedure is cumbersome and also has the further disadvantage that some of the regeneration agents come into play on solid rubber, whereby the impurities, in particular the sulfur, can only be removed with difficulty. Finally, this can be also not easily separate the solvent still present from the precipitant; this The procedure also requires a lot of heating material as all subsequent treatments always have to be carried out in the warmth.
Nach vorliegendem Verfahren gelingt es,According to the present procedure it is possible to
Gummiabfallen aller Art zu erzielen.in the simplest, economical way a good cleaning of rubber or. Rubber waste of all kinds.
The waste of vulcanized rubbers (rubber, gutta-percha, etc.), including hard rubber, is removed at a suitable temperature (for vulcanized rubber at about 200 to 300, for vulcanized gutta-percha at about 80 to 130 ° C.) with heating in resin oil , which is obtained by distilling rosin and has a boiling point of around 300 to 360 °. According to the inventor's experiments, this resin oil has proven to be the most suitable solvent besides the known rubber oil. The undissolved substances, some of the resins and sulfur, as well as the mineral or. Vegetable components (tissue o. The like.) Are in a suitable manner, for. B. separated by filtration. This purified solution of rubber or the like is then treated with a ketone, ζ. Β. Acetone, added, causing the rubber to dissolve the resin oil and impurities such as resin, pitch, sulfur ο. Like. Is precipitated. These operations can be repeated if desired. The rubber obtained in this way is washed with the precipitant, optionally boiled with water and dried, after which it is suitable for further processing. Solvents and precipitants can easily be separated by distillation and thus reused.
Abfälle von vulkanisierter Guttapercha bezw. vulkanisiertem Kautschuk, Balata o. dgl. in ein-It is known (British Patent 17936/97) to contain gutta-percha from these To win plant parts or from raw gutta-percha in such a way that one can use these plant parts respectively the natural gutta-percha substance from the raw product after treatment with alkali Dissolves in resin oil and precipitates again with acetone or the like; but from this it could not be concluded whether by dissolving in resin oil and precipitation by means of acetone, etc. Wastes of vulcanized gutta-percha respectively. vulcanized Rubber, balata or the like in one
H. whether in such a way out of the waste the vulcanized products mentioned sufficiently sulfur-free rubber respectively. Gutta-percha substance can be obtained in practical operation. This could not be foreseen any more than has hitherto been necessary and therefore had proposed an acetone treated rubber
masse mit Natron und mehrmals mit Alkohol 10 zu behandeln.to treat the mass with baking soda and several times with alcohol 10.
