Da die Ernährung der Kleinstkinder vorwiegend auf Flüssignahrung beruht, kommt es bei diesen zu erhöhter Flüssigkeitsausscheidung und Schweißabsonderung. Hierdurch werden die in der Wäsche zurückgebliebenen Chemikalien gelöst und es kommt bei schon gering empfindlicher Haut zur Bildung von artefiziellen Dermatosen, die eine ärztliche Behandlung notwendig machen.
