Die den Mitnehmer bildende endlose Kette ist durch eine einfache oder doppelte Schlinge mit dem Zugseil verbunden.The endless chain forming the driver is through a single or double loop connected to the pull rope.

Zum Anlegen wird der Mitnehmer in die in Fig. ι gezeichnete Lage gebracht, in weleher die dicht unter dem Seile α befindliche Kette b die Richtung des Seiles kreuzt, und der Karabinerring c durch die festgehaltene Schleife b^l der Kette gesteckt, so daß letztere um das Seil gewunden (Fig. 2) und nach Loslassen der Schleife b^[ zu einer das Seil fassenden Schlinge geschürzt wird (Fig. 3).
