Eine ähnliche Vorrichtung ist durch die Patentschrift 104182 bekannt geworden. Bei dieser ist über einen Kegel eine Kappe geschoben, deren Bewegung durch einen Hebel vor- und rückwärts von Hand oder bei Straßenlaternen unter Benutzung eines Stockes stattfindet; bei dieser Vorrichtung, welche Aussparungen in der Innenfläche der Kegelwand besitzt, wird das Öffnen des Hahnes dadurch erreicht, daß die Bohrungen im Kegel mit den Aussparungen in der Kappe sich deckend eingestellt werden.

In die Kegelstirn ist ein Röhrchen e eingeschraubt, das zur direkten Speisung des dauernd brennenden Zündfiämmchens am Brenner aus der Gaszuleitung dient, das aber außerdem noch zum Zwecke der Zusammenhaltung von Kegel und Kappe mit einem den Rand der Kappe übergreifenden Bund versehen ist. Der Kegel /, wie die innere Wand des Abschlußorganes, sind mit radialen Bohrungen von gleicher Anzahl und Teilung versehen, die einerseits in die Seele des Reduktionsrohres α und andererseits in den Hohlring c ausmünden, und durch welche, wenn die Bohrlöcher der genannten Teile sich decken, das Gas aus dem Reduktionsrohr α in den Hohlring c und von da durch die Röhrchen d zum Brenner gelangen kann, während, wenn die Zwischenfelder der Kappe b über den Bohrlöchern im Kegel stehen, das Abschlußorgan geschlossen und der Gasaustritt unterbrochen ist.
