Aus dem Gazescheibchen α wird die Hülse (Fig. 3) durch Umschlagen des Randes gebildet. Der umgeschlagene Rand wird mit dem Streifen b, welcher mit einer schwachen Gummilösung bestrichen ist, umwickelt. Man erhält auf diese Weise eine Hülse (Fig. 4). Die Cigarette c wird an einem Ende gummirt und dann in die Hülse ab eingefügt, wodurch das fertige Erzeugnifs (Fig. 5) entsteht. Zwischen das Gazedeckelchen α und das Cigarettenende kann nach Bedarf Watte eingelegt werden, indem diese in die Hülse (Fig. 4) vor dem Einschieben der Cigarette c eingebracht wird.
