Vorliegende Erfindung betrifft einen Verschlufshaken, der, an einem Ende eines Seiles oder dgl. angebracht, zum Verbinden desselben mit dem anderen Seilende beim Verschnüren von Bündeln, besonders Getreidegarben u. dgl., dient und den Zweck hat, das lästige und umständliche Verknoten der beiden Seilenden zu vermeiden. Es sind derartige Haken bekannt, bei denen das festzulegende Seilende in einen von zwei Theilen des Hakendrahtes gebildeten keilförmigen Raum oder eine Klammer gelegt wird, wo es durch Federwirkung eines oder beider Schenkel der Klammer festgeklemmt gehalten wird. Des Weiteren sind Haken bekannt, insbesondere für Schnürsenkel an Schuhwerk u. dgl., bei welchen das festzulegende Senkelende, statt zwischen zwei Theilen des Hakendrahtes festgeklemmt zu werden, zwischen einem Theil oder Ansatz desselben und dem geschnürten Schnürsenkel selbst festgehalten wird.The present invention relates to a locking hook which, at one end of a rope Or the like. Diesen bekannten Vorrichtungen gegenüber kennzeichnet sich der Haken der vorliegenden Erfindung dadurch, dafs zur Festlegung des Seilendes ein weiterer Schenkel oder Ansatz am Haken vorgesehen ist, der in entgegengesetzter Richtung zur Hakenzunge über die Hakehkröpfung hinausgeführt und zu einem zweiten oder Hülfshaken umgebogen ist und dafs das zu befestigende Seilende nach Durchführung desselben durch das Hakenmaul des ersten oder Haupthakens zwischen dem Schenkel und dem um das Bündel geschlungenen Seil und alsdann in das Maul des Hülfshakens gelegt wird. Von den erstgenannten bekannten Haken unterscheidet sich der vorliegende also dadurch, dafs das Seilende durch die natürliche Elasticität des gegen die Umschnürung nach aufsen drängenden Bündels ohne jede Federwirkung des Schenkels oder Ansatzes am Haken festgeklemmt wird, und es wird mithin, da die Klemmwirkung, hier durch das Seil selbst ausgeübt, wird, abgesehen davon, dafs die Handhabung des Hakens eine wesentlich einfachere ist, einerseits diesen gegenüber der besonders ins Gewicht fallende Vortheil erreicht, dafs der Haken nicht aus federndem Material bestehen mufs, sondern aus jeder beliebigen billigen Drahtart, z. B. gewönlichem verzinkten Eisendraht hergestellt sein kann und ■ dafs jedes beliebige Seil von beliebiger Stärke verwendet werden kann. Andererseits besteht auch gegenüber der zweiten Hakenart die neue Wirkung darin, dafs das Seilende, welches, besonders bei verhältnifsmäfsig steifen Seilen, ,wie sie meist zum Umwinden von Garben verwendet werden, das Bestreben hat, sich in den Biegungen am Haken wieder zu strecken und mithin unter dem Ansätze wieder herauszuschlüpfen und sich zu lösen, hieran durch den Hülfshaken verhindert wird.
