Erreicht wird derselbe dadurch, dafs auf der Leitung, in welcher der Dampfverbrauch gemessen werden soll, ein Gefä'fs mit einer leicht nachweisbaren Flüssigkeit angeordnet wird, welche durch den Dampfstrom mitgerissen wird. Nach Entnahme und Condensation einer beliebigen Menge des Dampfes aus der Rohrleitung hinter dieser Einrichtung wird der Procentgehalt der darin enthaltenen eingelassenen Flüssigkeit im Condensat bestimmt und daraus die Menge des Dampfes berechnet.The devices hitherto proposed for this purpose are partly imprecise, partly so expensive that they are not suitable for general use. Durch den Hals des Gefäfses bis in den obersten Theil desselben geht das Röhrchen d, während ein gleiches Röhrchen e vom Boden des Gefäfses abgeht und bis an den Stutzen b reicht. Dieses Röhrchen hat auf dem Wege eine von aufsen durch Schraube f regulirbare Abstellvorrichtung g. Damit die Oeffnungen von d und e getrennt bleiben, ist im Stutzen b die Querwand h vorgesehen.
