Bei den bisher bekannten herausnehmbaren Füllungen für pulpalose Zahnwurzeln, bestehend aus einem mit Guttapercha oder dergl. umhüllten Stift, machte sich infolge ungeeigneter Gestaltung der Nachtheil geltend, dafs beim Anschwellen der Umhüllungsmasse innerhalb des Wurzelkanals und Anhaften derselben an dessen Wand der Stift, auf dem die Herausnehmbarkeit beruht, beim Herausnehmen von der Umhüllungsmasse sich trennte und dieselbe ganz oder zum Theil in der Wurzel zurückliefs.
