Vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Kühlen getrockneter heifser Stoffe im Zusammenhange mit dem Trocknen derselben in einer gemeinsamen Vorrichtung, darin bestehend, dafs in einem schachtartigen Räume zwei Abtheilungen von Etagen, aus drehbaren Wendeplatten bekannter Bauart zusammengesetzt, über einander angeordnet sind, von denen die obere mit einem Feuerraume und der Esse und die untere mit der äufseren Luft und der Feuerung in Verbindung steht. Das Gut wird auf die oberste Etage α aufgelegt und durch Drehung der Wendeplatten von Etage zu Etage in den Sammelraum h gebracht, von wo es durch Thür i herausbefördert wird. Nach jedesmaligem Wenden der obersten Etage wird diese frisch beschickt. Die Feuergase, welche mittelst Kanäle c nach Bedarf mit Luft gemischt werden können, streichen durch die Kanäle d im Schlangenwege der Reihe nach über sämmtliche Etagen α zum Kamine / hin und trocknen die Beschickung derselben durch Erhitzen und rasches Abführen der dabei entweichenden Feuchtigkeit. Das so getrocknete Gut wird in der unteren Etagenreine b mittelst der durch die Kanäle^1 eintretenden kalten Luft abgekühlt, welche im Schlangenwege über sämmtliche Kühletagen b streicht und durch Kanäle g bezw. k in den Feuerraum geleitet wird, wo sie erhitzt zur Verbrennung oder zur Vermischung mit den Feuergasen benutzt wird.The room of the upper floor rows α is connected through channels d with a laterally arranged fire room and through channels / with the smoke channel leading to the chimney / in connection, while the room on floors b respectively through channels f with the outer air and through channels g. k is in communication with the fire room.
