Description

Process for the production of building blocks from flotation waste Flotation mountains occurring in flotation plants are currently in sludge ponds dejected. However, since different pits have no possibility of such To create sludge ponds, the flotation mountains have to be drained in filter presses in order to be able to spill them onto the dump.

The present invention aims to utilize the flotation mountains for the production of building blocks. It must be taken into account that the flotation outflows occur in the form of a usually very thin cloudiness. In recent times there are several flocculants have come onto the market, which have a particularly strong flaking. Such so-called Total flocculants are z. B. high polymer polyacrylic acid derivatives such as polyacrylamides. By using them, it is possible to compress the flotation mountains in a ball or press To separate the state from the turbidity.

However, it is not possible to use the flotation mountains obtained in this way Mix in binding agent (cement, lime, water glass), since this is in the crown Does not allow it to be evenly distributed and form nests.

The admixture of the binding agent to the flotation mountains takes place Therefore, according to the present invention, even before the downfall of the mountains by the binder is added to the slurry before the flocculant is added. at the subsequent flocculation of the pulp then becomes the particles of the binder trapped in the flakes together with the mountain particles, and it takes place .due to this an even distribution of the binder. The settled sludge is in molds pressed, whereby the excess water also runs off. The damp pellets are either in the air or by steam in boilers (as in the case of sand-lime brick production) dried.

Accordingly, the invention resides in a method of manufacture of building blocks from flotation mountains or similar for the production of building blocks suitable, fine-grained solids distributed in water, whereby by pressing shaped blanks containing binders subjected to air or steam curing be, which is characterized in that the flotation plants and the like. A binding agent such as cement, lime, water glass is first added to the resulting turbidity becomes, then the solids, the sludge together with the binder through the addition a strong flocculant and processed in a known manner will. Although it is known to use clay or clay-containing materials in small quantities of alkalis, alkaline earths or their compounds z. B. with quick lime or Mixing dolomite and solidifying it after shaping by means of air or steam hardening. But this was clay or the like. B. as it occurs in the pit, with the addition of water mixed with the binder. However, it was not known and not yet succeeded in using building blocks by excreting the clayey substances from suspensions to produce a high excess of water.

The pulps used according to the invention usually contain only 50 to 80 ig / 1 solid.

For cleaning the water generated during the coal washing or for Precipitation of the suspended coal particles was also lime and water glass used. Here, these additives act alone as Koagulatiornsmittel, while according to the invention, they represent the binder during the subsequent curing.

In the case of the differently goarted suspensions used according to the invention Additions of water glass, soda or alum would increase the dispersion with cause the solid particles to remain in suspension for a long time. Milk of lime and cement have only a weak flaking effect, and the flakes remain even with heavy additions so small and so easy to tear that they cannot be separated by sieving them can.

The success achieved according to the invention is based on the use a strong flocculant, a so-called Tobal flocculant, and on the order of addition of flocculant and binder.
