Die Maschine zum Mercerisiren von Strähngarn, welche den Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung bildet, unterscheidet sich von den bekannten Maschinen dadurch, dafs die Garnsträhne auf einem zweiarmigen^ auf einer waagerechten, zum Bottich parallelen Achse befindlichen Haspel aufgebracht werden, dessen beide Arme einander diametral gegenüberstehen und an ihren Enden Garnträger besitzen, welche sich beim Umlauf des Haspels um sich selbst drehen.
