Um den Leib auch oberhalb der Magenpartie zu stützen, kann das Mieder in Weiterbildung der Erfindung mit einer zusätzlichen in Umfangsrichtung elastischen vorderen Stoffbahn versehen sein, die das Vorderteil innen überlappt und nach oben überragt, so daß es mit dem nach oben verlängerten Rückenteil eine Einheit bildet, wobei die zusätzliche Stoffbahn über die verlängerten Nähte an den Seiten und/oder der Vordermitte mit den übrigen Miederteilen zusammengehalten ist. Durch diese gegenseitige Anordnung und Verbindung der einzelnen Teile wird eine gute Anpassung des Mieders beim Gehen und Sitzen erreicht.
