Bei den Zungennadeln, wie sie bei Strickmaschinen und verwandten Maschinen Anwendung .finden, ist es bekanntlich für gewisse Arbeiten nothwendig, zu bestimmten Zeiten die Zungen zu öffnen. Man hat hierzu besondere Zungenöffher angeordnet, welche aus messerartigen Schneiden oder nach der Patentschrift 50241 aus Bürsten oder nach dem Patent 102914 aus einer Vereinigung von beiden bestehen. Diese Zungenöffher erfüllen aber ihren Zweck nicht vollkommen; vielmehr kommt es nicht selten vor, dafs die Zunge von den Schneiden oder Borsten nicht erfafst wird und dann das Oeffnen derselben unterbleibt, wodurch Störungen in der Arbeit entstehen. Man hat auch in den Nadeln selbst Federn angebracht, welche bei beiden Endlagen der Zunge auf dieselbe wirken und das Oeffnen derselben besorgen; diese Nadeln stellen sich aber in der Herstellung sehr theuer und aufserdem ist auch dieses Mittel kein zuverlässiges, da die Federn, welche in den Nadeln untergebracht werden können, so schwach sind, dafs sie sehr leicht brechen oder sonst versagen.With latch needles, as they are used in knitting machines and related machines, it is known for certain Work necessary to open the tongues at certain times. Beiliegende Zeichnung giebt ein Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung in schematischer Dar stellung. Ein magnetischer Stab α ist an einer Stange b befestigt. Fig. 1 zeigt die Nadel η bei ihrem Vorgange. Bevor z. B. die Nadel durch die Maschen des Gewirkes s hindurchgeht, bewegt sich der Magnetstab α gegen die Zunge c der Nadel herab, zieht dieselbe an, hebt sich und öffnet die Zunge. Fig. 2 zeigt die Nadel beim Durchgang durch das Gewirke, die Zunge c ganz aufgerichtet, welche sich nun nach der anderen Seite umlegt. Fig. 3 zeigt die Nadel noch weiter vorbewegt, die umgelegte Zunge mit durch das Gewirke hindurchgehend. Vor dem Rückgange der Nadel bewegt sich der Magnetstab α auch entsprechend weit vor und senkt sich dann wieder rechtzeitig auf die Zunge c herab, um dieselbe anzuheben (Fig. 4), worauf sich dann die Zunge vor dem Rückgang durch das Gewirke wieder nach vorn umlegt, wie in Fig. 4 punktirt angedeutet. Der Magnetstab wird indessen auch wieder angehoben und zürückbewegt, um sich beim darauffolgenden Vorgange der Nadel wieder auf die Zunge c zu senken und dieselbe zu öffnen.The accompanying drawing gives an embodiment of the invention in a schematic representation.
