Vorliegende Neuerung an Förderschnecken bezieht sich auf eine Verbesserung derselben insofern, als es nach dem bisherigen Herstellungsverfahren, welches darin bestand, dafs die Schnecken aus einzelnen ausgestanzten Ringen, welche an der Seite aufgeschlitzt und aus einander gebogen werden, in der Querrichtung zusammengenietet werden, nicht möglich war, die Schnecken dem Rande zu, welcher infolge der durch die Umfangsgeschwindigkeit vermehrten Reibung bedeutend mehr angegriffen wird als das Innere derselben, so herzustellen, dafs eine gleichmäfsige Abnutzung der ganzen Fläche stattfinden könnte.The present innovation on screw conveyors relates to an improvement of the same insofar as, according to the previous manufacturing process, which consisted in the fact that the snails from individual punched rings, which are slit on the side and be bent from each other, riveted together in the transverse direction, not possible was, the screws to the edge, which as a result of the peripheral speed increased friction is attacked significantly more than its interior, so to establish that an even wear of the whole surface could take place.

Juni 1893 bekannt gewordenen Walzverfahren, mit dem Unterschiede, dafs zur Erreichung des verstärkten Randes die Anwendung keilförmigen Rohmaterials erforderlich wird und dafs die Einstellung der Walzen eine derartige sein mufs, dafs das Material zwar die erforderliche Krümmung annimmt, trotzdem aber eine gewisse Konizität nach dem Rande zu behält. Die Walzen selbst können dabei cylindrisch oder konisch sein und zu zwei oder mehreren Exemplaren neben oder über einander angeordnet werden. Abgesehen davon, dafs bei derartig hergestellten Schnecken die Lebensdauer derselben ganz wesentlich erhöht wird, indem bei Betrieben, in welchen solche Materialien gefördert werden, welche vermöge ihrer Beschaffenheit die Schnecken stark angreifen, wie z. B. in Gyps-, Schlacken- oder Salzmühlen, tritt für andere Betriebe noch der grofse Vortheil hinzu, dafs sowohl die Niete als auch die Querstöfse an den Verbindungsstellen, welche nach den bisherigen Herstellungsverfahren nicht zu umgehen waren, in Wegfall kommen, wodurch die Schnecken geeignet werden, auch Materialien zu fördern, welche, wie z. B. Krystallzucker und andere Salze u. s.~ w., sehr empfindlich in Bezug auf Zerreiben und sonstige Beschädigung sind.The latter is to be achieved in the present invention in that the screws are made by rolling out of straight strips, namely are suitable for for this purpose z.
