Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von elektrischen Widerstandsapparaten, bei welchen aus Platten bestehende Widerstände Verwendung finden. Diese Platten, die aus Nickelin oder einem anderen geeigneten Stoff bestehen und durch Einschnitte wechselseitig von beiden Seiten in einen zickzackförmigen Streifen umgewandelt werden, sind an sich bekannt (vergl. amerikanische Patentschrift 459794)·The present invention is a process for the production of electrical Resistance apparatus in which resistors made of plates are used. Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft nun ein Verfahren zur Verbindung dieser Widerstandsplatten mit den Stromschlufsstiften, an welchen die Stromleitungen angeschlossen werden. Der Widerstandsapparat besteht aus auf einander gelegten Platten, die unter Zwischenlage von Isolirplatten in einen Rahmen eingespannt werden. In der Zeichnung bedeutet Fig. 1 einen Längsschnitt, Fig. 2 eine Seitenansicht, während Fig. 3, 4 und 5 die einzelnen Elemente des Widerstandsapparates veranschaulichen.The present invention now relates to a method of connecting these resistor plates with the power supply pins to which the power lines are connected. Die Widerstandsplatten w (Fig. 3) werden unter Zwischenlage von mit Asbest umhüllten Eisenblechplatten (Fig. 4 und 5) in einem Rahmen auf einander gelegt. Die überstehenden Enden der Asbeststreifen werden zwischen die beiden Lappen eines Bügels c gesteckt. Die Platten liegen so auf einander, dafs die aus verzinntem Kupfer- oder Messingblech bestehenden Bügel c auf den Widerstandsplatten liegen. In den Oesen der Bügel c werden die Anschlufsstifte oder -Drähte eingelöthet. Der Rahmen besteht aus zwei Eisenplatten k k\ welche durch seitliche Schrauben ff1 zusammengeprefst werden. Zwischen die Eisenplatten und die Widerstandsplatten wird zweckmäfsig noch eine etwas dickere Asbestschicht gelegt. An den Enden der Platten, an denen eine besonders innige Berührung derselben erforderlich ist, werden in Aussparungen der Platten k kl Druckschienen s s1 eingelegt, welche durch Stiftschrauben η η1 stark gegen die Widerstandsplatten geprefst werden. Um nun das ganze System in gute elektrische Verbindung zu bringen, wird nach dem Zusammenbau des ganzen Apparates ein kräftiger elektrischer Strom hindurchgeschickt, welcher wesentlich stärker ist als derjenige, für den die Vorrichtung bestimmt ist. Durch die dadurch erzeugte Wärme wird die Zinnschicht an den Bügeln c geschmolzen und die Widerstandsplatten, deren Enden oxydfrei sein müssen, mit den Bügeln verlöthet. Von den Bügeln führen die Anschlufsdrähte zu den Stromschlufsknöpfen eines Umschalters, welche auf der Isolirplatte, wie in Fig. 2 ersichtlich ist, angeordnet sein können.The resistance plates w (Fig. 3) are placed on top of one another in a frame with asbestos-coated sheet iron plates (Fig. 4 and 5) in between.
