Gegen große Drücke wird die Membran 6 durch eine ringförmige Stütze 12, die der Membranform angepaßt ist, geschützt. Beim öffnen des Ventils wird durch den Magnetanker 5 die Bohrung 9 freigegeben; der Druck oberhalb der Membran 6 entspannt sich über die Bohrung 9, und der von unten gegen die Membran 6 wirkende Druck des Mediums öffnet nunmehr das Ventil. Der die Bohrung 10 tragende Teil der Membran 6 wird bei der restlichen Schließbewegung kurz vor dem völligen Abschluß der Strömung geringfügig zusammengedrückt.
