Abstract

Dosing valve for dosed fuel injection into one or more combustion chambers (26, 27) of a combustion-engined unit, whereby the dosing valve (1) has a piston (3) that moves between stops (5, 6) within a cylinder housing (2) and a pressure chamber (4) delimited by the piston. The pressure space is linked to a gas reservoir (33) from which a gaseous fuel is drawn. The fuel is compressed to a defined pressure by the piston and injected into the combustion chambers. The stroke of the piston is reduced by varying the distance between the stops as the valve components heat up.
