Mittels der erfindungsgemäßen bzw. vorteilhafterweise weitergestalteten Temperatureinstellvorrichtung lassen sich die Kosten für die Herstellung eines Kraftfahrzeuges verringern, insbesondere dadurch, dass das gleiche Gerät in unterschiedlichen Kraftfahrzeugtypen bzw. unterschiedlichen Kraftfahrzeugausstattungen verwendet werden kann. So ist insbesondere vorgesehen, dass mittels der Steuerung der Temperatureinstellvorrichtung der Insassen-Kontext, der Ausstattungs-Kontext und/oder der Betriebs-Kontext automatisch erkannt und das Display entsprechend angesteuert wird. Darüber hinaus ist insbesondere vorgesehen, dass in Abhängigkeit des erkannten Kontextes Berührungen des Touchscreens interpretiert und eine Funktion für zumindest einen Drehknopf ausgewählt wird. Ein Ausführungsbeispiel für eine Änderung eines Insassen-Kontextes ist zum Beispiel das Verlassen des Fahrzeuges durch einen Beifahrer. Ein Ausführungsbeispiel für einen Ausstattungs-Kontext ist zum Beispiel der Umstand, ob eine Sitzheizung vorgesehen ist oder nicht. Ein Ausführungsbeispiel für einen Betriebsart-Kontext ist zum Beispiel der Umstand, ob die Temperatureinstellvorrichtung in Verbindung mit einer 2-Zonen-Climatronic oder 1-Zonen-Climatronic verwendet wird.
